Why should I Purchase Raw Hair from The MCay Collection?

The method in which the hair is obtained is a rarity in the hair industry. Our Raw Collection comes directly from a single donor’s temple. We’re here for quality! Every bundle is from a single donor, the hair is cut directly from the donor’s head. The cuticles remain intact as the natural direction in which the hair grew, is preserved

Most companies are not willing to invest in order to pay donors for their hair, as there are much easier and more profitable means to collect hair. For example, collecting hair from the floor is fast, easy and cheap. Most of the expense that goes into the production of floor hair is in the labour. However, this hair is mixed with hair from various girls and cuticles are not intact meaning the natural. Direction is altered-this leads to extra tangling and shedding.

Note: There are many chemicals used in ensuring floor hair is blended (human/animal/synthetic) hair presentable to sell.

How many bundles of MCay Raw Hair do I Need?

This depends, majorly on personal preference and your head size.

Standard recommendation is 3 to 4 bundles. We recommend 4bundles (to ad fullness) for lengths “22” and longer.

What’s the difference between a closure and a frontal?

Frontals fit from ear to ear and are more versatile for styling. You can get any size from “13x3”, “13x4”, “13x6” and “13x8”.

Closures are placed in the centre front of the head to close the style and create a scalp like parting. These are available in sizes “2x2”, “4x4”, “6x6” & “7x7”

HOW CAN I DETERMINE MY WIG (CAP) SIZE?

SMALL MEASURES: Circumference: 21in. Front to nape: 12.6in. Ear to ear across forehead: 10.8. Ear to ear over top: 12.5 - 13.

REGULAR/MEDIUM MEASURES: Circumference: 22.5in. Front to nape: 14.5in. Ear to ear across forehead: 11.5in.

LARGE MEASURES: Circumference: 23in. Front to nape: 15.5. Ear to ear across forehead: 12.

Tips for general maintenance

Co-wash the hair frequently and avoid sulfates and parabens products. Avoid heavy oils such as grease, etc. A light serum or oil such as argon oil can be added for additional shine.

Which hair texture is best for you?

The curlier the hair, the higher the maintenance. If you just want to wake up and go, we recommend you stick with straight and loose wavy textures. If you’re daring and a bit more experienced in the hair world, give the deep wave a try!
